I run the digital side of a business — and build the software it runs on.

Digital Manager & full-stack developer · Slough, Berkshire

I plan, build and look after websites, business systems and apps — then design how they look. From a till and stock system a club takes money through every night, to MOT-history software for UK garages.

01Work

Don't take my word for it — use the software.

Each app below is the real interface I built, running in your browser with made-up demo data. Tap around, add a sale, raise an invoice — nothing you do reaches a real business, and Reset puts it back.

    Snooker & Tea Club

The app a snooker club with three tables, a tea counter and a snack counter takes money through every night — tables, tills, stock and customer credit.

    The story
    The problem
One place for games, tea, snacks and money owed — with staff who should only see their own part of the takings.
    What I built
A table is an open account that builds up until one bill at the end. Three logins with different powers. Stock linked to sales (one cigarette takes 1/20 of a pack). Cash, online, pending, long-term credit and part payments. A tea break-even dashboard and a profit tab.
    Built with
Installable web app · Cloudflare Workers · D1 database
    Result
Real sales every day since 12 Oct 2026 — 800+ real bills, 33 versions, 378 automated checks run before every release.

    Garage System

Workshop software for UK garages: ramps, jobs, parts, invoices and a DVSA MOT-history lookup that fills in the car for you.

    The story
    The problem
UK garages lose the repair work their MOTs uncover, and re-typing every car's details wastes time at the desk.
    What I built
A ramp is an open account — a car goes on, work is added, then it's billed and the bill freezes. Parts off the shelf, part payments, customers and cars. Type a registration and the make, model, mileage and MOT expiry fill themselves in. Every date is a UK date, through both clock changes.
    Built with
Cloudflare Workers · D1 · DVSA MOT History API · Electron Mac app
    Result
Live, with 51 automated checks and a smoke test against the live site after every release.

    WycombeFM Reports

A field app for a UK cleaning and facilities contractor: engineers finish audit reports on site, with photos, and the PDF is ready before they leave.

    The story
    The problem
The contractor needed audit reports their engineers could finish on site, offline, to recognised UK cleaning standards.
    What I built
Duct-work PCR reports, TR19 kitchen-extraction inspections and cleaning audits. Photos per section, before-and-after micron readings, no-access areas, PDF reports with tap-to-open images, and automatic Google Drive sync.
    Built with
React · jsPDF · Google Drive API · Android APK and iOS builds
    Result
Delivered to the client. I also moved their website off Shopify, designed their print work and fixed their email set-up.

    Master Pizza

Restaurant software where every order takes the right grams of flour, cheese and chicken out of stock — on several Macs and phones at once.

    The story
    The problem
A pizza shop needs orders, kitchen and stock to agree, so the owner knows what each pizza really costs.
    What I built
Dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders, a kitchen board (New → Cooking → Ready), recipes linked to stock, deals that open into their parts, cancelling that puts stock back, receipts and profit after costs. The demo is the phone app; there's also a native Mac app.
    Built with
Swift · SwiftUI · SQLite on the Mac · installable phone app · Oracle Autonomous Database for sync
    Result
30 of 30 tests pass, including orders replayed between Mac and phone. Works offline first.

    Dukaan POS

Shop software for mobile phone shops and mini-marts: stock, cost and sale price, profit, bills, customer records and WhatsApp receipts.

    The story
    The problem
Small shops know their takings but not their profit, and lose track of who bought which handset.
    What I built
Inventory with per-unit cost, profit on every bill, expenses, customer records with ID and signature, one-click WhatsApp receipts and backup to the owner's own Google Drive. A licence system lets me issue codes from an admin panel.
    Built with
Electron (Mac and Windows) · Cloudflare for licences
    Result
Installer ready for clients, kept separate from the developer files.

    Flour Mill Manager

Wheat in, flour out: purchases, milling runs, stock in bags, sale bills and who owes what — for a working flour mill.

    The story
    The problem
A mill buys wheat by weight and sells flour by the bag, so stock, costing and credit are hard to keep straight.
    What I built
Windows software for inventory, costing and sales. The original stays with the mill — this is a web remake of how it works, with keyboard shortcuts like the desktop version.
    Built with
Windows desktop software (remade here in HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
    Result
Delivered to the mill, and the example I use to show other businesses what an operations system does.

    SIM Counter

A counter app for a SIM and mobile-money franchise: one tap per sale, discounts, costing and daily and monthly reports.

    The story
    The problem
A busy counter needs to record each sale in a second and still know the day's profit.
    What I built
Item buttons for each service, a discount per bill, a costing tab, a dashboard, daily and monthly reports, WhatsApp receipts and a backup file.
    Built with
Installable web app · Cloudflare Pages (free)
    Result
Live, and it loads in 1.2 seconds (measured).
  • Pitch demoPhone

    Amir Electronics app

For a multi-branch electronics retailer selling on instalments: customers see what they've paid and what's left; staff see targets, leads and attendance.

    The story
    The problem
Many branches, cash and instalment sales, and Facebook enquiries that need to reach the right branch quickly.
    What I built
A customer and staff app, a shop website with an instalment calculator, and a lead router that sends each Facebook lead to the right branch's WhatsApp with the message already written.
    Built with
Installable web app · HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    Result
Pitch built with a 12-section Facebook advertising plan. Lead router stress-tested on 484 demo leads.

    Corner Grocery EPOS

A till for a UK grocery shop: scan at the counter, stock that counts itself down, and today's and this month's sales and profit.

    The story
    The problem
A specialist grocer needed a till that also keeps stock and shows profit, not just takings.
    What I built
Barcode till, inventory with low-stock warnings, daily and monthly sales and profit, and a phone layout — built to show the owner before any money changed hands.
    Built with
HTML, CSS, JavaScript · works with any USB barcode scanner
    Result
Pitch demo with a written proposal. Shop name changed for this portfolio.

    Gold Harvester v8

An automated gold-trading system with hard daily risk rules, and a morning check that decides whether it runs at all. Watch the rules play out.

    The story
    The problem
Grid systems can make money for weeks and lose it in one bad day. The rules have to stop that day from happening.
    What I built
An Expert Advisor with an H1 EMA200 trend filter, a lot-scaled grid, a basket take-profit, a news filter and a daily equity lock — plus a daily RUN / DON'T RUN check and a Python engine that replays real MT5 price data.
    Built with
    MQL5 · Python · MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester
    Result
Runs on my own account. A backtest is only trusted when it matches the MT5 report.

Also built: Command Center, my own lead-research and outreach system, and the Wycombe FM website — moved from Shopify to an 18-page site with every old address redirected.

03What I do

The whole digital side, from the server to the printed banner.

In a role or on a project, this is the work I can take on — each one backed by something above you can open and use.

  • Run the digital side

Websites, domains, hosting and email kept working and secure — DNS, SPF and DMARC records, security headers and nightly backups.

Wycombe FM: domain transfer and email records fixed and kept stable.

  • Business systems

Tills, stock, costing, invoicing, credit and staff roles — software built around the numbers an owner actually checks: stock, costs, profit and what's owed.

Snooker & Tea Club, Garage System, Dukaan POS.

  • Phone and desktop apps

iOS, Android, Mac and Windows — apps that work offline, sync when they can and are tested before every release.

WycombeFM Reports, Master Pizza for Mac and phone.

  • Websites

Fast, accessible sites that Google can find — and moves from Shopify or WordPress without losing a single old address.

Wycombe FM: Shopify move, then an 18-page site. This site.

  • Design and print

Logos, interfaces, social posts and print work set up properly — real sizes, bleed and print-ready PDFs.

A 2.4 m football sponsorship banner and magazine adverts for Wycombe FM.

  • Marketing, data and automation

Facebook ads plans an owner can follow, lead research, reports from the data a business already has, and automation for the boring jobs.

Amir Electronics ads plan, 418 leads researched, my own outreach system.

How I work

  1. UnderstandI learn how the business really runs before I build anything — and say what it will and won't do, in plain English.
  2. Build smallA working first version quickly, then improve it with the people who use it every day.
  3. Test properlyAutomated checks run before every release — 378 of them on the snooker club's app alone.
  4. Look after itBackups, updates and low running costs. Most of what I build runs on free or low-cost cloud services.

05About

One person who can manage the digital side — and build it.

I'm Zaheer Gillani, a Digital Manager and full-stack developer based in Slough. I look after the whole digital side of a business: the website, the systems staff use every day, the data behind them, and how all of it looks.

Almost everything I've built started with a real problem. A commercial cleaning contractor needed audit reports their engineers could finish on site, so I built an iOS and Android app that produces branded PDF reports and saves them to Google Drive. A snooker and tea club needed tables, tills, stock and customer credit in one place, so I built the app it now runs on every day. UK garages lose the repair work their MOTs uncover, so I built Garage System, with live DVSA MOT-history lookups.

Because I also design, the work arrives finished — the logo, the interface, the printed banner and the social post all match the software. And because I've run a business myself, I build around the numbers that matter: stock, costs, profit and what's still owed.

I explain things in plain English, test every release before it goes live, and keep running costs low — most of what I build runs on free or low-cost cloud services.
